Rainy & Muddy Dog Walks
Rain, wet grass and muddy paths change what you need from a dog walking setup. A little preparation can make the walk and the clean-up easier.
Protect the things that need to stay dry
Keep your phone, keys and other moisture-sensitive items in the most protected part of your carry setup. Do not assume a fabric is waterproof unless the product information specifically says so.
Separate clean and dirty items
Keep treats and personal belongings away from muddy accessories or damp items where possible. A small reusable pouch can be useful when the bag itself does not have a suitable separate area.
Deal with moisture after the walk
Empty the bag, remove loose dirt and allow damp components to dry fully before storing them. Use only the cleaning method stated for the product material.
Check hardware and seams
After particularly wet or muddy walks, inspect zips, buckles and attachment points for trapped dirt before the next use.
